Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club!

Today we learned of the passing of Ted Stevens.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Kenai Peninsula is very saddened by this news.
Mr. Steven was a great champion for the youth of the Kenai Peninsula as well as the entire State of Alaska. He was very instrumental in securing countless dollars for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  Mr. Stevens visited the Kenai Peninsula Clubs on several occasions and made a strong impact on the staff and youth. He will be missed greatly.

From Boys & Girls Clubs of America:
The Board of Governors, Trustees, staff and members of Boys & Girls Clubs of America wish to express their grief over the tragic loss of Sen. Ted Stevens. A longtime friend and avid supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs, his tireless efforts on behalf of our nation’s children, particularly young people in Alaska, will not be forgotten. In 2002, Boys & Girls Clubs of America bestowed its highest honor, The Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award, on Sen. Stevens. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the Stevens family.
